Cooper should make immediate impact
When Nebraska wide receiver Khiry Cooper transfers to Tulsa this summer, he will join former teammate Cody Green, who came out of the spring as the Hurricane's starting quarterback. Cooper will be immediately eligible and should have a big impact.
The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder will graduate from Nebraska in May and then enroll in graduate school at Tulsa, allowing him to play right away under NCAA rules. He redshirted at NU in 2008 and has one year of eligibility remaining.
Cooper's most productive season at Nebraska was as a redshirt freshman in 2009, when he played in 12 games with four starts, and made 13 catches for 80 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown against Texas Tech.
