When Marshall hosts Tulsa at 2:30 p.m. CST on Saturday, it will match the Herd's league-leading offense against the Golden Hurricane's league-leading defense.

Besides that, Marshall never has beaten the West Division power since joining C-USA in 2005. In 2007, the Herd lost to Tulsa 38-31 at Tulsa. In 2008, Marshall lost to the Golden Hurricane 38-35 in Huntington. Then, in the 2011 season, Tulsa absolutely manhandled Marshall 59-17 in Tulsa.

That sets up this monumental meeting, which coincidentally is Marshall's homecoming game...
