Swilling has been huge for Tulsa

The University of Tulsa basketball team has been battling injury all season long, yet has somehow mustered a 9-6 start. Junior guard Patrick Swilling Jr.'s toughness and clutch shooting has been a big factor.

Swilling missed the first seven games of the season with a wrist injury that required surgery. Just as he returned, Tulsa was going through a rash of leg injuries in the frontcourt. Forwards Rashad Smith, D'Andre Wright and Brandon Swannegan have missed a combined 22 games.

Smith was the Hurricane's leading scorer through the first four games but hasn't played since. Wright, a true freshman, was coming into his own with 8.2 points per game before getting leg soreness against ORU.

All three forwards will likely miss...
