Bruins offer Michigan safety

BruinSportsReport.com The start to the class of 2007 in Westwood has gone especially well, shoring up commitments from prospects at quarterback, running back, cornerback and defensive tackle.
The Bruins are also looking for prospects at the safety position and have found one they like in Detroit Renaissance prospect Derek Knight.
The 6-0, 192-pound Knight earned all-state accolades as a junior after tallying 148 tackles including 16 for loss and nine sacks. He also intercepted two passes and broke up 14 more from the outside linebacker position.
The productive Knight has already earned scholarship offers from Michigan State, Indiana, Minnesota, Toledo, Akron, Georgia Tech, UCLA and Wisconsin. The Bruins came through with their offer about two weeks ago.
