June 15, 2012Eight of Tulsa's football games in the 2012 season have been chosen for television. The Golden Hurricane will have five games air on the Fox Sports Network (FSN) and three on the CBS Sports Network (CBS-SN).
Five home games will be televised this year along with three road games, and additional games could possibly be added to the television schedule. TU will have seven conference games televised, starting with the home opener against Tulane on September 8th.
"We're excited about the TV schedule," said Tulsa head coach Bill Blankenship. "The opportunity to be on television eight times is big for our program. With five home games on national television, it's important to be able to showcase to the country our city, our university and our football program with tremendous fan support."
The game times for the first six contests have been announced, but the UCF and SMU game times will be announced by FSN approximately two weeks out from each game.
Conference USA is in its second year of an agreement with Fox Sports Media Group for national television rights to several marquee Conference USA events, including a minimum of 20 regular-season football games. It is also the eighth year of C-USA's partnership with CBS Sports Network, which includes significant national and regional exposure for football, men's and women's basketball and other C-USA sports.
