Three leaders in TU coaching search

Sources have indicated that the search for Tulsa's next head football coach could be coming down to two candidates, who both had second meetings scheduled with TU officials today. If the meetings go well, the Golden Hurricane could announce a new hiring by Friday.

In the past two days, Tulsa is believed to have interviewed former offensive coordinator Chad Morris, current assistant Bill Blankenship, Arkansas offensive coordinator Garrick McGee and Texas A&M defensive coordinator Tim DeRuyter.

Morris was initially believed to be a frontrunner, but faded into the background after flying to Clemson to finalize his contract as their new offensive coordinator. He was introduced there today and says he was never offered the Tulsa job.

McGee and DeRuyter are said to have made big impressions in their initial interviews, and according to sources, they were both expected in Tulsa today to continue talks.
