Kinne will likely get the most exposure at the NFLPA event, which is in its inaugural year. The NFL Players Association says the game will feature 100 top draft prospects and will be nationally televised on NBC Sports Network.
According to the Associated Press, the teams in the NFLPA Bowl will be coached by Tom Flores and Dick Vermeil, who both won Super Bowls during their years in the NFL.
Clark Gaines, assistant executive director of the NFLPA, told the AP that players will participate in football and community events during the week leading up to the game. He says the goal is to educate potential NFL players on how to succeed in the league and in their post-football careers.
In his three seasons with Tulsa, Kinne passed for 9,469 yards, 81 touchdowns and 32 interceptions.
