More monster performances from TU football commitments

Several of the University of Tulsa's current football commitments for the 2017 recruiting class turned in big performances for their high school teams this past weekend. Here's an update from last weekend's games and a look at where they play next.

DANTE BIVENS
6-3, 310 pounds

Spring (TX) Klein Collins
Last week’s result: Won 35-7 at Spring Klein Oak
Statistics: Bivens and his offensive line have paved the way for 320.8 rushing yards per game.

SETH BOOMER
6-3, 185 pounds
Quarterback
Collinsville (OK)
Last week’s result: Won 23-20 at Tahlequah
Statistics: Boomer finished 14-of-30 for 136 yards with three TD passes. On the season, he has 776 passing yards, eight touchdowns and three interceptions.

SHAMARI BROOKS
5-9, 185 pounds

Last week’s result: Won 59-3 at Owasso
Statistics: Brooks ran for 234 yards and seven touchdowns on just 23 carries, averaging over 10 yards per carry. He scored on runs of 3, 36, 14, 5, 60, 5 and 5 yards. Through five games, Brooks has 102 carries for 844 yards and ten TDs. He has also caught five passes for 100 yards. He’s averaging 168.8 yards rushing per game and 8.3 yards per carry.

CHASE BROWN

Statistics: In five games, Brown has racked up 58 tackles, four pass deflections, four tackles for loss and three QB hurries.

Statistics: Evans finished with six tackles and a pass deflection in the game. In three games this season, he has 18 total tackles.

GARRETT FLANARY

Statistics: Flanary had five tackles, including three for a loss, one sack and one forced fumble from his defensive line spot. Through five games, he has 26 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, five QB hurries, three forced fumbles and one sack.

Statistics: McMillon was recruited to Tulsa as an offensive lineman, but he plays on both sides of the ball for Abilene. He had seven tackles, one tackle for loss and one QB hurry on defense, and he also caught two passes for 11 yards and a TD on offense. For the season, he has 40 tackles, nine QB hurries, two sacks and five tackles for loss.

JOSH MOORE

Statistics: Smith rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries, scoring on runs of 7 and 41 yards. In six games, he has 100 carries for 824 yards and 18 touchdowns. He’s also caught one pass for six yards. Smith needs 625 more yards to break the school’s career rushing record.

KEYLON STOKES

Last week’s result: Won 48-10 over Galveston Ball
Statistics: Stokes had another big game with 7 catches for 102 yards and a touchdown. He also ran the ball twice for 26 yards. For the season, Stokes has 35 receptions for 567 yards and seven touchdowns. He is averaging 16.2 yards per catch with a long of 54 yards. Stokes also has nine carries for 97 yards rushing.
