Top prospects visit TU

Only a few days remain before high school prospects in the class of 2007 can sign letters of intent, and the new University of Tulsa football staff has been using every second to evaluate talent and recruit the very best players since taking over three weeks ago. This past weekend, some highly-rated prospects hit the Golden Hurricane campus for official visits.
Broderick Green, rated as the No. 14 running back nationally and a member of Rivals.com's 250 best players in the nation, took his final official visit to Tulsa this weekend. Green's relationship with Tulsa has strengthened over the last few weeks due to his relationship with new Tulsa Assistant Head Coach Gus Malzahn.

Green committed early to Southern Cal, and there has been speculation recently on where he might end up after taking several late visits, including trips to Penn State and Tulsa. As a senior this past season, he rushed for 2,042 yards and 23 touchdowns.
Another 4-star prospect on the Tulsa campus this weekend was also a member of the Rivals 250 and the nation's No. 13 athlete – Greg Little. Little committed to Notre Dame in November over offers from the likes of Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State.
Little's close friend and teammate, Mike Johnson, recently committed to Tulsa and was making a visit this weekend, so Little decided to trip there as well. As a wide receiver this year, he had 61 catches for 1,002 yards and 18 touchdowns. As a running back, he amassed 969 yards on 140 carries and eight touchdowns. He had four interceptions on defense.
Other impressive prospects taking visits to Tulsa over the weekend included North Crowley (TX) wide receiver Chris Ford, Georgia Military defensive back Darrell Pasco and Little Rock (AR) Hall defensive back Genesis Cole.
Tulsa hosted sixteen visitors in all this weekend and many offers are out on the table with more than ten scholarships to give. However, five or six commitments from the weekend have already been reported in Hurricane Alley! Stay tuned to InsideTulsaSports.com for all the latest on Tulsa recruiting!
