Tulsa falls on the road at UCF

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Nick Banyard scored 18 points making all four of his 3-pointers and A.J. Davis had his fourth double-double of the year with 16 points and 11 rebounds and Central Florida pulled away from Tulsa for a 71-53 win Tuesday night.

The Knights held a 31-27 lead at halftime. Central Florida (16-10, 7-7 American Athletic) led 43-40 with 11:36 to play and then went on a 23-10 run in the next eight minutes to put the game out of reach for Tulsa (12-13, 6-7).

Banyard also collected nine rebounds and Central Florida owned a 40-28 edge on the glass. B.J. Taylor scored 15 points and Matt Williams scored 13. The Knights shot 23 for 44 from the floor (52 percent).

Martins Igbanu was the lone Tulsa player in double figures scoring 15 points and grabbing six boards. Tulsa was 30 percent from the floor on 17-for-57 shooting.
