Lawton (OK) Eisenhower running back Rashaud Hurt has been a bit under the radar due to an injury in his junior season, but it didn’t keep Tulsa coaches from seeking him out.

Tulsa offered the 2025 prospect in June 2023 after he attended a TU camp. He was back on the Tulsa campus for a game on November 18 and was visited at school by TU assistant Adrian Mayes in January. His most recent trip to Tulsa was on March 9 for junior day.

“It was great actually. I really love the program down there in Tulsa,” he told Inside Tulsa Sports. “I love the coaching staff. I love everything about Tulsa.”

Mayes and Steve Spurrier Jr. are Hurt’s two main recruiters at TU, and he got to see them in action during spring practice.

“I thought everything was ran pretty well,” he explained. “I love how everything is organized and fast-paced. You never see anybody really just standing around and just watching, and I like how all the coaches have real relationships with their players.”

According to Lawton Ike head coach Javon Harris, Hurt played in just over two games last season due to a torn ACL.

“I can run over people, run by people, catch the ball out the backfield, make people miss,” Hurt described. “I can do anything. I’m an all-around back.”
