Woodard honored again

Tulsa freshman guard James Woodard was named the recipient of a men's basketball weekly honor from C-USA for the second time in three weeks. Awards are chosen by a vote from a media panel representing the 12 member schools.
Woodard averaged 20.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game, and shot .500 (14-of-28) from the field to lead Tulsa to a 1-1 record last week. He scored 27 points in an 86-66 win Wednesday against Jackson State. In that game, he connected on 10-of-18 shots, hit three three-pointers, made all four free throws, dished four assists and added a block and steal in the 86-66 win over the Tigers.
