Spring practice schedule released at TU

The University of Tulsa football program finished the 2010 season as the nation's 24th rated team in the Associated Press poll. The Golden Hurricane have a new head coach in Bill Blankenship and return 18 starters for the 2011 season. Things get started with spring practices that begin on March 8th.
Tulsa will begin 2011 Spring Drills with two practices before spring break. They will pick back up with 13 more practice sessions after the week off.

TU will hit the practice field for the first time since winning the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl, 62-35, over Hawaii on December 24th.
The Hurricane will open spring drills on a Tuesday and then practice again on Thursday, March 10th. After spring break, Tulsa will return to the field on March 22nd to begin a long stretch of practices that will culminate with the Annual Spring Game on April 15th.
The spring game will be open to the public, however, practices are closed.
The Spring FanFest and Game will take place this year on a Friday night. Game time is 7:00 pm and admission is free.

March: 8th (Tuesday), 10th (Thursday), 22nd (Tuesday), 24th (Thursday), 26th (Saturday), 29th (Tuesday), 31st (Thursday)
April: 1st (Friday), 2nd (Saturday), 5th (Tuesday), 7th (Thursday), 9th (Saturday), 12th (Tuesday), 14th (Thursday), 15th (Friday)
