Inside Tulsa Sports has followed Dalton May’s recruiting process since he visited campus a year ago, and almost exactly a year later, the Jones (OK) tight end committed to the Golden Hurricane.

“The second I walked into the place, it felt like home,” he said of Tulsa. “They also have an amazing coaching staff that gives a warm welcome to anyone that enters the university.”

May checked out the TU program on March 5, 2016, after his sophomore season. The 6-foot-3 and 240-pounder was back on campus in June for a Philip Montgomery Prospect Camp and then attended Tulsa’s homecoming game in October. When he returned to campus for junior day on March 4, 2017, he picked up an offer from the Hurricane and decided to commit.

“I play very aggressively and block well,” he said of his strengths. “I know how to catch the ball in traffic. Most of all, I give maximum effort.”
