Woodard earns fourth Freshman of the Week award

Tulsa guard James Woodard was named the Conference USA Freshman of the Week for the final week of the regular season, as selected by a media panel representing the 12 member schools.
Woodard averaged 14.0 points and 8.0 rebounds for Tulsa in a pair of games, including a road win at Rice to conclude the regular season. He registered his fifth double-double of the season, with 11 points and 11 rebounds, and made 4-of-9 field goals and 2-of-3 free throws to lead the Golden Hurricane to the win at Rice.
In a March 6 game against SMU, Woodard scored 17 points with five rebounds and a pair of steals.
This is his fourth C-USA Freshman of the Week award of the season. He also received the honor November 12, November 26 and December 24. Teammate D'Andre Wright, a 6-foot-8 forward, received the Freshman of the Week award twice in February.
In the regular season, Woodard started 26 of 29 games, averaging 11.9 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.
